The Tel Aviv Safari

1 - A giraffe (30 Kb) 2 - An ostrich in the Safari (20 Kb) The Tel Aviv Safari is a large zoological park, populated mainly by African animals, in a Tel Aviv suburb of Ramat Gan. Most part of the territory is to be observed from a car, but in the centre of the park there is a zoo to be walked on foot.

When we drove from the entrance to the zoo, we met many ostriches, so well-trained in being friendly to visitors that they tried to poke their heads into the car's window. There were many ibexes -- as friendly as the ostriches. Besides them, we saw zebras, rhinoceroses and many different species of tropical birds.

Elephants, giraffes, funny monkeys and exotic creatures are waiting for you in the zoo. There are sections "populated" by amphibians and reptiles, by parrots, kangaroos etc.

After the zoo, you can proceed to the lions section of the park. If the weather is hot, it is probable that all the lions will simply sleep in the shade of African trees.
